Clinical Benefits

VERISOL® collagen has been used in clinical studies involving females to support collagen formation, skin structure and elasticity, and overall skin health.

114 females aged 45-65 years were given 2.5 g/day of VERISOL® collagen peptides or a placebo over 8 weeks. The women taking VERISOL® experienced a 20% reduction in eye wrinkle volume compared with the placebo group. They also had an increase in procollagen type 1 and elastin.

Hyaluronic acid (HA)* is a glycosaminoglycan with a unique capacity to bind and retain water molecules. Ageing and environmental stimuli such as solar ultraviolet radiation, smoking, and air pollutants gradually reduce the amount of HA in the body, leading to decreased moisture, suppleness, and elasticity. A study on adults aged 22-59 years showed that HA supplementation benefited the skin compared with a placebo.

Vitamin C supports epidermal barrier function through ceramide production by keratinocytes, which may help in skin conditions with low epidermal ceramide content, such as mild atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
